So basically, when you're scouted, your art submissions now appear in the regular Art Portal for approved artists instead of the one for the unapproved. It may sound harsh, but doing this helps prevent stolen art from reaching undeserved ratings and views while also making it easier for legit competent stuff to surface and reach an audience.

Also, as a scouted artist, you now have the ability to scout other artists who show promise in their work! You have this ability forever unless you consistently scout art theives and/or actual trash. Common sense is honestly your best friend when it comes to finding and scouting new talent.

Since I just provided the gist of it, I recommend reading these way more detailed guides here:

I hope this helps!

Also, remember to drop a review on stuff and engage in forums and competitions now and again! It makes your presence known!!

thank you so much!! ^^
i had a little trouble figuring things out but this helps a lot, thank you
also thanks for the scout, i didn't expect this honestly haha

@sol4zy Well, your grayscale piece and profile pic were definitely deciding factors. Since it seemed like you were working your way towards color, too, I figured why not?

By the way, I encourage you to share this info around other newcomers. Telling them how systems work around here makes it easier for them to adjust and helps them decide whether or not they'd want to use Newgrounds as a place to share art!

Happy browsing!!
